MUA Undres Me Too - eyeshadow palette review

Discovered not so long ago, MUA make up products quickly became one of of my favorites. They are cheap and good quality. There is one of my Top products of last few months.

Basic info

Brand: MUA (Make Up Academy)
Product: Undress Me Too - Eyeshadow palette
Size: 9.6 g (12 colors)
Price: £ (on website)
Websitewww.muastore.co.uk

Packaging

Basic kinda cheap looking packaging. Didn't really expect anything else for the price :)

Comes with double sided eyeshadow sponge applicator

Colors

There are 12 color in the palette:

  • Naked - nude, matte color
  • Devotion - metallic gold
  • Shy - metallic light sand
  • Fiery - metallic brown(ish) copper
  • Lavish - matte purple(ish) grey
  • Dreamy - metallic brown
  • Tranquil - lighter metallic brown
  • Exposed - metallic silver
  • Reveal - light metallic grey
  • Wink - metallic dark golden brown
  • Obsessed - shimery dark brown
  • Corrupt - matte black

This is how colors look on my hand in a natural lighting.

Texture/Pigmentation

The palette has both matte and metallic colors. Their pigmentation and texture are quite different so let's talk about them separately.
Metallic shades - Beautiful creamy kinda texture, good pigmentation. Applies very nice and easy. A picture down below is so you can imagine better of how the colors applies and looks on the eyes. One coat of eyeshadow was applied on the primer.

Matte colors - hmm.. much worse texture, powdery; low but buildable pigmentation. The color Corrupt needs separate talk. It is awful! Low pigmentation, very hard texture (need to press hard to get it on the brush), hard to apply. A picture down below is so you can imagine better of how the colors applies and looks on the eyes. Two coats of lavish color were applied on the primer. I don't even know anymore how many coats of Corrupt I put on my eye to get this look..

My opinion

Do I like this palette? Ohh yea! ✿♥‿♥✿ I think this palette is very good for the price. The quality is concentrated on the product not the packaging and I like that a lot because I don't really care about the packaging at this point. I am using this palette a lot and I will keep doing so. I really want to try out MUA's other eyeshadow palette..

Would I repurchase this product? Definitely.

Eye lining styles

Good day everyone (^_^)
What a great and sunny day today (the snow finally melted away..)
It's already a middle of the spring and I think it's time to start looking for some fresh look ideas for make up

Found this really nice picture with eye lining styles.
My favorites are Georgio Armani and Stella McCartney. Others are nice too but I like the classic versions

Which ones do You prefer?

MUA mini haul

First of all, sorry for not posting for a long time I had a hard time at university.. but now I am back with a new post.

I recently made a purchase from MUA (Make Up Academy) website. I have been interested in this brand for a while but I never bough anything from them.

Little information about the brand:
Brand: UK brand MUA (Make Up Academy)
What they say about themselves: 'Great makeup doesn’t need to cost the earth and it is MUA’s promise to bring surprising quality, colour, fun and innovation to each and every product it delivers. Bringing guilt free makeup to every ladies makeup bag!'

After watching lots and lots of review videos I finally decided on things I wanna get.

SHIPPING

In the photo below you can see the package everything came in.
I will say I was expecting a little box but the envelope is ok too because the things inside there wrapped up really well (except eye primer, it was left unwrapped for some reason but it wasn't damaged or anything so it's good)
The shipping cost me £4.95 (I live in Europe) and I think its not that expensive.
It took 5 days for the package to be delivered to me. It is fast, I usually wait for a lot longer to get things I order. BUT it took very long till they actually shipped the package. They said on the website 'We aim to dispatch all orders within 5 working days of receipt during our working week' and they actually dispatched my order on the evening of the 5 day. Maybe they had a lot of orders..

Products

These are the five products I've got:

  • Undress Me Too Palette £3.00
  • Eye Primer £1.50
  • Nail Varnish (Shade 5) £1.00
  • Lipstick (shade 5) £1.00
  • Trio Eyeshadow (Pink sorbet) £2.50

Total Cost: £9.00 (without shipping)

From the first view products products look cheap (well they are cheap..) but once I looked inside and swapped them the quality is actually very good. I think they saved up a little on the packaging and put it in the products quality, in the end I think that's what matters..
From the first look I liked all the products except the lipstick because it has a lot of shimmer and I'm not into very shimmery lip products..

Overall

Would I buy from this shop again? Yes.
So far I think MUA products are really great for the price. Of course I need to use them for some time to know for sure.

Would You like to see a full review of any of these products?
Have You ever tried any of MUA products yourself?

I would like to know what You think so leave a comment below. Thank you for reading, take care

Givenchy Phenomen'eyes mascara review

Basic info

Brand: Givenchy
Product: Phenomen' Eyes mascara
Size: 7 g
Color: Phenomen' black
Price: $30 (at Sephora)
Websitehttp://www.givenchy.com/en/

Packaging
Luxury packaging of a luxury brand..nothing more to say ;) The different thing about this mascara and the reason I bought it is the brush. It is very small and round. This brush is suppose 'to grip at lashes starting at the roots'
In the picture down below there's a comparison of the regular mascara brush and Phenomen' eyes brush so you can actually see the difference.

Texture/Color
Let's start with what this mascara is suppose to do. According to Sephora - 'Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara perfectly curls and separates lashes. It has a high-tech, patented round sphere at the tip of the precision wand that reaches every lash and adapts to all eye shapes. It's a Sephora exclusive.'
There are before and after pictures of my lashes down below (the pictures are taken in natural lighting with no flash).
The texture is nice easy to apply. Doesn't have any particular scent.

My opinion
Honestly, I don't like it. I wanted this mascara so badly and I am very disappointed.. It looks great there's no doubt about it you can see that in the pictures. BUT it takes very long time to apply it properly because of the small brush, it is also not a long lasting mascara - the peaces of it started falling of after just few hours of wearing it (maybe it was old? I don't know..). And this mascara is also quite hard to remove. I think there are a lot better mascara for $30 (and less) in the market. But that's only my opinion, I've heard that a lot of people like it that was one of the reasons I bought it.

Would I repurchase this product? No.

Have you tried this mascara? What is your opinion?

Maybelline eye studio lasting drama gel eyeliner

I never used gel eyeliner before because I always though they are hard to used. I was so wrong!!! This is the BEST eyeliner I ever had!
I got the color Blackest Black.
Also comes in colors: Brown, Charcoal, Eggplant (wanted to get them all but they only sell black one here..)

The pros:

  • Very easy to apply
  • Easy to make any lines you want
  • Great texture
  • Very nice intense color
  • Stays perfect all day
Cons:

  • A little hard to clean with non-waterproof makeup remover
Overall:        5/5 Would certainly recommend this.

Price: $9.99 in http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod1790211

NOTE that this is my personal opinion :)
